I've found a small and free software that converts a *.png file to a *.ico file.
Simply create a 48x48 picture and save it to a *.png file, then lauch the conversion process and you will obtain the icon!

Step 6 - Creating an icon
Another cool addition is to associate an icon to your application.
I've found a small and free software that converts a *.png file to a *.ico file.
